I'll look into the Rogation material and let you know.

Tim

RE: TIMES AND SEASONS

Hi, I know that this is a bit of a forlorn hope! But is there ANY chance that we might have the agricultural material in time for Rogationtide (27th April)?

I feel very disappointed with this new way of doing Visual Liturgy. Although I like the software, I really don't think that we are being given the service we were promised when we all originally took out our subscriptions. At least when we all had to stump up for the various update disks we knew precisely that we were getting what we'd paid for!!!!! But now it's all so vague and opened ended, and nobody official is talking. Doesn't anyone care about end users?

Stephen Thorp

RE: TIMES AND SEASONS

It is a bit laborious but if you go to www.cofe.anglican.org/about/gensynod/agendas/tands1.rtf you will find the Advent material however it will require major formatting. Replacing the 'tands1' bit at the end will lead to the various chapters, so 'tands2' is Christmas material, 'tands3' Epiphany etc. You may find a box opening up asking for user names etc, just leave blank and click OK or cancel and you should be alright.

RE: TIMES AND SEASONS

Are the services from All Saints to Advent and then Christmas going to be added to VL in time of All Saints etc this year, if not where can we obtain that material

Jane

RE: TIMES AND SEASONS

Thanks for that info - and for the reference to your previous updates, which as a newcomer I'd not seen.

But .. without being too clever-clever, wouldn't it be an idea to leave till later the seasons that we've just worked through and concentrate instead on those coming up - i.e. pp 503 on. You're absolutely roght that with T&S incorporated fully into VL we'll have a v powerful and really useful tool - that's why we need it asap PLEASE!

Many thanks for your efforts. We do realise it's not easy. But it is still the case, I'm afraid, that the customer (i.e. the pewperson) really isn't too interested in what's passed: it's what's to come that matters!

Best wishes - Keep going! When you get round to planning next year's services, and indeed throughout the year, we think VL Live with its new content will be a powerful combination.

You'll have seen our posting about how to find the Times and Seasons material that's in the current release. We're working on the remaining material now, and Ascension to Pentecost is in the first update, which is being checked and tested as I write. The remainder of the material is still being edited, indexed, and added to VL, and we will publish a schedule for its release as soon as we're confident about the dates.

Andrew Sweeney

Church House Publishing

TIMES AND SEASONS

Umm ... Is it me, or are we still awaiting several sections to be uploaded from Times and Seasons into VL?

It would be good if they could be incorporated soon so that the upcoming seasons can be enhanced with the new liturgies, please.
