I'm new to VL Live so apologies if this has been raised before.
I store my sermons using the Proper number, where appropriate, and not the umpteenth Sunday after Trinity.
Are the Proper numbers stored anywhere in the data?
Thanks,
Malcolm

Hi

it depends on where you are within VL.

If you already have the service open, the easiest thing to do is to "view text details" for the reading you want. Under "lectionary", it will show you which lectionary "events" are linked to this passage - form which you will be able to see which Proper number it is.

If you have no service open and just want to know for any Sunday what the Proper number is, click on "Calendar". On the Sunday you are interested in, double-click on the bold text describes what the Sunday is (ie "Seventh Sunday after Trinity"). This will then show you the details for that Sunday, including the Proper Number.

Alternatively, if you have a lectionary plan, when you open it and click on the Sunday in question, it will show you the Proper number, as well as the readings selected for that date.

Hope this helps!

Hi David,

Thank you.

All is now clear (and rather obvious!)

Regards,
Malcolm
