I had download problems with VL on my last computer, but having installed on my new one, it seemed all was well. Automatic updates worked okay. However, for the last three or four weeks, I constantly get the message "Unable to get update information. Try connecting later." This is a constant fault, and one I had hoped had been sorted, but obviously not.

The update service is working OK so this is something we need to troubleshoot at your end. Do you get this message when you choose Help - online update (click OK to the password dialog)? Do you get any other message? Do you have firewall software and is VL allowed to connect?

Another tip is to check the settings in Internet Explorer - Internet Options - Connections. Look at the settings for the active connection. If there is a proxy server listed, replicate it in VL's Edit - Preferences - Connection dialog.

What happens if you check "Never prompt for a connection" in Edit - Preferences - Connection?

The more information you can give me about your system, your connection to the Internet, and any error messages, the easier it will be for me to troubleshoot it.

Hi, I also have the same problem. I have chosen Eucharistic prayer C and traditional Lord's prayer and saved the service as a Template 'Communion Prayer C'.  When I go back in I still have the contemporary Lord's prayer and the Euch prayer A-G. Interestingly enough the things that I have deleted from the service remain deleted.

Open the service and select Eucharistic Prayer C. Then open the Service Item properties for The Eucharistic Prayer. Note that it says Default Text: The Eucharistic Prayer - Congregational A-G. Click the button that says Make current text the default. Click OK. Then save the service as a template.
