Installation
VL Live normally installs without any problems. You should put the CD in your CD-ROM drive, close it, and allow the VL installer to do its job automatically. Once VL Live is installed, you should be presented with the registration screen, and you'll find notes about registration on our
Help with registrations page.
Problems?
Occasionally you may experience problems installing VL Live. We know that some users have reported that VL Live doesn't recognise their internet connection, and in some cases, the VL Live installation process fails to install "Dotnetfx."
"Can't find DOTNETFX.EXE"
Some users have experienced an error message that says "Can't find DOTNETFX.EXE". The problem is that VL Live is trying to install Microsoft software components that VL Live needs in order to run, but the VL Live installer can't find the file it needs. The solution to this problem is described in our forums, and there are some screen-shots to help guide you through.
"But I am connected to the internet!"
Occasionally VL will tell you that it's not connected to the internet, even when you are. This can be infuriating, and we're not entirely sure why this affects a few customers, but there's a solution: simply download the latest update from our updates archive (the page contains instructions about how to download and install VL Updates). If you're experiencing this problem just after installing VL Live and while you're trying to register, then download the latest version and try your registration again.
